When I was in primary school, all of the cool kids had starter hats and jackets! Girls had Charlotte Hornets, and Boys had Chicago Bulls - even though it was just a little primary school in NZ and no one knew who the hell the Bulls or Hornets were, let alone watched any games.  I, of course, had neither, and this heralded the beginning of a list of highly coveted items like sparkly butterfly clips, impulse body spray, suede converse sneakers (not chucks), champion backbacks, and food.

When I was a kid, with my busted up english with a super thick accent; my parents splurged and bought my siblings and us the fucking coolest starter jackets. I had this gem, my only regret was not keeping it.
